Department of Filmmaking have visited the exhibition “Home” in Evliyagil Museum

Department of Filmmaking students have visited the exhibition called “Home” in Evliyagil Museum, which is the first private contemporary art museum in Ankara opened in 2015, on 14^th November 2017. The exhibition has been curated by Derya Yücel and consisted of 38 different artists’ artworks and also was the partner event of 15. Istanbul Biennial.  The exhibition, which was open from 9^th September 2017 to 4^th February 2018, consisted of artworks of many important artists such as, Nil Yalter, İpek Duben, Hera Büyüktaşçıyan, Erdal Duman and Erdağ Aksel. In an exclusive tour for Başkent University, Department of Filmmaking students, the artist Can Akgümüş shared detailed information about the exhibition and artworks. Our students showed great interest on installation, video art and photography projects in the exhibition and they had the chance to see and discuss the subjects of home, memory and identity in a framework of private and public space concepts in the context of production of artwork practices.
