Filmmaking Department was at Etimesgut Municipality’s Unimpeded Life Center with “Unimpeded Movies” Event

‘Tecahül-i Arif’ and ‘Yes, I Can’ movies met with the audience at the event organized by Etimesgut Municipality and Başkent University, Fine Arts, Architecture and Design Faculty, Filmmaking Department in Etimesgut Municipality’s Unimpeded Life Center on 13th May. Başkent University Presiden Prof. Dr. Ali Haberal, Başkent University Vice-President Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun, Etimesgut Municipalty Vice-President Ayhan Ünal and Başkent University Fine Arts, Architecture and Design Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Adnan Tepecik also attended the event. ‘Tecahül-i Arif’, telling the story of a young with down syndrome and ‘Yes, I Can’, presenting sections from paralympic swimming World champion Sümeyye Boyacı’s life were appreciated by the audience. After the demonstration, certifacates of appreciation were presented to directors, Mustafa Koç and Hasan Kalender and the actor Deniz Özkan, attending the event, right after Başkent University President Prof. Dr. Ali  Haberal’s speech. It was touched upon importance of education and corporate support at disabled individuals’ participation to social and economical life at the talk that Hasan Kalender, the director of “Tecahül-i Arif’, Deniz Özkan, the actor of ‘Tecahül-i Arif’, Mustafa Koç, the director of ‘Yes, I Can’ participated in moderation of Assoc. Prof. Nihan Gider Işıkman.
